This Saturday, SWING ON THIS features a few Bob Wills classics interpreted by others, including Ida Red (from that group’s brand-new album), the Nashville Seven, Billly Parker, and Bob’s brother Johnnie Lee. In addition, the Great American Songbook is once again represented with swingin’ versions of pop tunes by Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, and George Gershwin.
And on top of all that, how about a glass-lifter with one of the greatest titles of all time? That’d be “Beam Me Up, Mr. Scotch” by the Hot Texas Swing Band. Plus, twistin’ Tommy Allsup with the latest in our “San Antonio Rose” parade.
